The Caucasus

The most amazing view from a 10 hour trek in the Caucasus. I have never been in such spectacular scenary before. The whole group walked to The Holy Trinity church above Kazbegi (the town in the picture), you can also just about see the church on a small hill far below. Then Renee (our leader) and John carried on to the foot of a glacier at 3000m directly below an impressive 5000m peak of Mt Kazbegi.

Claire, we found the next three photos of your trip when we returned from Edinburgh last evening, thank you. Also your message on the answering machine! Adrian tells me you need to ahve broadband at each 'end' of the telephone call to get it for free (and we are no nearer to achieving that here!) but you could call the boys whenever you wanted to....
If you try again, we are out this evening but should be home on Thursday and Friday evenings, and in and out over the weekend before leaving on holiday on Monday afternoon. Hope to have some sort of a chat sometime soon! Sounds as though you will have lots to tell us about the exciting trip.
Love Mum

Well, since I could talk to you for absolutely free if you had broadband, isnt that a pretty good excuse to get ...Dad? For me to phone Adrian and Alastair for free they have to set up a skype account- maybe you could tell them that- it's really easy.

Anyone else reading this with a Skype account, let me know and I can ring you too.

Hope you are all well, xx
