Hip Hop Dance

ThiRi and I taught these kids a hip hop dance, which they performed on many stages at the huge 3 day long water festival in April. We got them completely new outfits, and took them to the local town in the back of a pick-up. They were so popular that almost everywhere they were asked to repeat their dance, sometimes up to 4 times in a row. I was so proud to see them on stage, cos it really was an experience for them who had never done such a thing before.

orchid necklaces

This girl, Yee Yee Lwin made me an orchid necklace almost everyday for about a month. Also, check out the thanaka...

Dracula's swimming

I went swimming in the Bay of Bengal everyday, it was so warm. This little girl is Khin Thar Yee, but John named her dracula- she had quite promonent fangs! She was a right character though.

John's swimming lessons

This is John, he came to visit for 2 weeks in April. He's been before to teach English, but this time he taught the kids swimming. He brought loads of costumes and hats and goggles, and dont they just look so adorable... It's amazing, but a lot of the children could not swimming despite living in a coastal village.

Whoo!! I'm back

Yo! It's actually me writing now, but all cred must go to my mum, since she's been an absolute legend since I've been away. I got back last tuesday evening, and was really glad to be home, the last few weeks were pretty tiresome. Man, I have so much i can talk about. But I'll fill you in with loads of photos. I'm doing some serious promoting for The Andrew Clark Trust this week, with slide shows and interviews to loads of schools and churches. Mum's organised me 7 talks in about a week, so keeping me busy- as ever. I fly to Istanbul on the 5th June, and I'm then away till the middle of September. Having just got back I'm not sure I'm quite ready to go again but I think in two weeks, I'll be up for it.
